Abdulla & Co Ltd were one of a large number of cigarette and tobacco manufacturers based in England. This enamel sign is likely to date to the 1920s and alongside the wonderful typography, features some particularly detailed graphics. On one side we see Abdulla's iconic (and very 'of a period') logo; two soldiers dressed possibly in Indian military dress standing either side of a sign with the maker’s name and their New Bond Street (London) address. The otherside shows a wonderfully detailed, lit cigarette with wisps of smoke travelling upwads.

The sign remains in good, bright condition with a fantastic surface gloss. There are two notches cut into eitherside of the lower edge and there's also a vertical crease towards the right hand side with a patch of enamel loss running along with this. Despite these small areas of damage the sign remains wonderfully graphic and entirely legible.

The sign measures 1m wide by 19cm high.
