A STOP sign with it's bold shape, lettering and red background is a go-to piece of vintage man-cave or bar decor. This American example is made from aluminium, with a slightly reflective paint/surfacis is likely to date from the 1970s. It's certainly lived a life - the surface is crazed from years of exposure to sun / heat and dust / dirt is baked into that crazing... For a true touch of American authenticity, the sign is scattered with bullet holes - you don't get much more 'character' than that!

 

The 'condition' of this piece is obviously subjective - it's a long, long way from good... Bullet holes, surface scratches, dents etc cover the entirety of the piece but it still hangs relatively straight and certainly displays well. There are a number of holes it can be hung from - it's original mounting holes in the middle, top and bottom remain the best option - as the rear of the sign now resembles something of a cheese grater, a long screw / nail is recommended.
