This vibrant enamel sign for India Cycle Tyres features some wonderful graphics - the ghosted out bicycle forks/frame add context to the tyres without distracting from it.

The India Tyre and Rubber Co. of Inchinnan, Scotland developed their repute with the production of car tyres. The firm started in 1927 and in 1930 began work on their now iconic art deco factory, India Tyres were initially very successful, employing over 2500 people but this success barely lasted half a century before the company closed down in the 1980s. It's short run makes any India Tyres advertising both scare and sought after, the fact that this piece is for bicycle tyres rather than car tyres adds to it's rarity.

The sign remains in fairly good condition with a lovely, the colours remain bright and the enamel retains a good surface - there's a little bit of enamel loss around the edges and two slightly larger areas on the middle of the left edge, though nothing to distract from the piece's punchy graphics.
