A VERY BRIGHT, MID-SIZED MARTINI ENAMEL SIGN
Thanks to a very aggressive mid-century marketing campaign by Martini, their 'bar and ball' logo has become iconic. This enamel sign is a reasonable size and features a relatively early version of the logo with a rich red 'ball' element and large, simple typography. This sign was produced in Brussels, Belgium and probably dates to the 1940s/'50s...
This is a particularly bright, well preserved example of it's type - there are minor enamel losses around the corners and one small patch to the right side of the upper edge, otherwise the main area of the sign is without damage, the fading is minimal and the white and red enamel layers remain bright and glossy. The upper right corner tab is damaged, but the sign can still be hung securely with ease.
The sign measures 68.5cm wide x 47.5cm high x 1cm deep.
