£780
£999
The Sting was released on Christmas Day, 1973 and is a comedy crime caper with loads of twists and turns, that sees Newman and Redford re-kindle their ‘Butch and Sundance’ partnership. Set in the 1930’s (hence the style of the poster) the great Robert Shaw plays the mobster Lonnegan.
The film is regarded as one of the greatest films ever made(!) - it won 7 academy awards and in 2005, The Sting was selected for preservation in the U.S. National Film Registry of the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant."
The poster has been professionally linen backed to aide it's conservation. The poster was in very good order prior to linen backing and only has minor wear along the fold lines (inevitable with the glossy posters of this period), there's been no other restoration and there are no note-worthy defects.
The poster has been professionally framed and is ready to hang. Including the frame it measures 107cm high x 71.5cm wide x 2.5cm deep.
