Something a little different; this Victorian tin hatbox would've originally been painted in black or with a faux woodgrain but someone has taken the time to strip and polish this example. The exposed metal is a lovely muted colour and void of heavy, dark paint it's much easier to appreciate the hatbox's lovely shape and some of the nice little details such as the hinged catch. 

 

The hatbox is 27.5cm high, 33cm wide and 30.5cm deep. Aside from some very light knocks and dings it remains in good condition.
