Jimi Hendrix : The man and truly a humble legend. A fantastic biopic summed up in a cool and simplistic work of art.

 

Made shortly after his death, and released 21st December 1973 - this original US one-sheet film poster was produced for the film's release and has survived the decades in good order.

Interestingly, when we were photographing this piece we noticed that there's a typo in the lower band of text, towards the lower right where it's listing festivals it mentions the 'Isle of Wright' - presumably all the Americans involved in the design, production, printing etc of this poster had never really heard of the Isle of Wight! 

There's a little wear along the original fold lines - inevitable with the glossy paper-stock used in this era. This poster has discoloured slightly, mainly around the outer edges / fold lines (again, fairly inevitable) and has a small patch of discolouration to the lower right that isn't immediately obvious. Generally speaking this is a striking poster in the sort of condition that you would expect / hope to find an original example in. 

 

The poster has been professionally framed using conservation grade backing paper and is ready to hang. Including the frame it measures 107cm high x 71.5cm wide x 2.5cm deep.
