This is a lovely, large example of Martini's mid-century marketing. The 'bar and ball' logo was first registered in 1929, and from then the company worked at making themselves a recognised household name. This Belgian example dates to 1944 (marked lower left) and absolutely oozes character. 

 

Measuring in at just over 1m wide - this is a real statement piece. It shows signs of a life lived; the enamel surface has crazed, there are patches of enamel loss / corrosion and areas of discolouration but none of this impacts the legibility of the sign and certianly gives it that vintage aesthetic that just can't be replicated! 

 

The sign measures 1.08m wide x 67cm high x 1.5cm deep.
