The five 'Fry's Boys' aka. 'emotions' is an iconic piece of early 20th century marketing. The boy who is in sailor's uniform is depicted in five stages of emotion, his mood improving when he receives his Fry's chocolate. This scene was depicted in paper and enamel advertising c.1920 and is a hugely sought after subject matter. These mirrors are generally described as being from the same period or as being 'antique', but I'm quite confident that this example is a 1970s re-run / reproduction.

Of course, 50 years on this now constitutes a vintage item in it's own right (hence I've decided it's OK to stock a 'reproduction'!) and in this instance, the paper insert behind the mirror has faded nicely over the years and the mirror plate is foxed around the edges adding to the piece's vintage charms and the over-all aesthetic.

A wonderfully popular subject matter, this is a very decorative piece for a fraction of the price of a period example (if there were any period mirrors produced - I have my doubts). This mirror is nicely framed (original framing from the production of the mirror) and ready to hang.

This piece measures 51.5cm wide x 33.5cm high x 3cm deep.
