Whatever the size, medium or condition - there's something incredibly appealing about a coat of arms... This pressed card Victorian Royal Coat of Arms oozes a wonderful antique aesthetic with nicely muted colours that contrast beautifully against the pale blue that's used for the swagging. The background material has faded to a lovely gentle orange, though areas of the material that were more covered show that it was once an incredibly vibrant red. 

 

Given the fragility of such a thing, the pressed card has survived in good condition with no real notable creasing or tears. There is some minor candle wax dripping on the right side, but this is part of the charm of a piece that has spend over a century displayed above a mantlepiece or similar...

 

The piece measures 52.5cm wide x 43.5cm high x 1.5cm deep.
