"Ireland Welcomes You" - this poster, designed by Curran for the CIE is a wonderfully vibrant piece of mid-century advertising. Córas Iompair Éireann (CIÉ) is Ireland's national public transport provider, this poster shows their new 'A Class' diesel train below a sunburst and a shamrock. The over-all design is bold and simple, but there's still a fantastic level of detail in the illustration of the train. This is an uncommon poster - a couple of examples can be found in museums but I've not encountered any others for sale. 

 

The poster was printed in the Republic of Ireland by Dollard, Dublin. There's light creasing across the whole piece and a small 'green-ish' mark towards the upper right corner but generally it's survived the decades in very good order, it displays beautifully and the colours remain strong. 

 

The poster has been professionally framed and is ready to hang. Including the frame it measures  107cm high x 69cm wide - a real statement piece.
