"Hip Hip Zoo Ray!" - this wonderfully vibrant and beautifully detailed poster from the Robert Bros Circus does a wonderful job of capturing the spectacle that the show would've been. This particular example features 'Sidney, the only Boxing Kangaroo in the World' and the graphics for this are fantastic - from the clown in the audience with a speech bubble coming from his mouth to the cigar smoking referee in his bowler hat, this poster has it all. 

 

The poster was printed in England by W.E. Berry Ltd of Bradford and probably dates to the 1950s/'60s and was produced to advertise performances in Hastings, Sussex. 

It's a rare survivor as these posters were printed on thin paper and intended to be pasted up, after which they couldn't be removed. This piece has been professionally framed with conservation grade backing board and is ready to hang. Including the frame, the poster measures 80cm high x 54cm wide x 2cm deep.
