The Liverpool and London and Globe Insurance Company were established in 1836 and this wonderfully vibrant poster would've hung in the offices of one of the insurance company's agents; R.H. Luscombe & Sons, who formed as agricultural auctioneers, land and estate agents in the 1870s. 

 

This poster probably dates to the late 19th century, sat within what is probably it's original frame and mount it remains in excellent condition with no notable marking to the poster itself and just a few minor pieces of debris between the mount and the glass and a few chips to the outer edges of the frame. 

 

Including the frame, the poster measures 89.5cm high x 69cm wide.
