This Belgian film poster for 'Les Violents' dates to the film's release in 1958 (previewing in 1957).

 

I've never watched 'Les Violents' nor do I intend to, but the illustration on this poster as absolutely fantastic. A very of the period 'who dunnit' murder mystery scene with punchy typography for the title set against a blood red background. 

 

Typically the upper section would be printed / stamped with details of the cinema showing the film and the times of the screenings, but this remains blank except for a little ink transfer in the upper right  so I'd speculate that it was never hung / shown. The stamp is present (as you'd hope to find on all authentic Belgian posters of the period) and it's survived the decades in good order with minimal fading / wear along the fold lines. 

 

It has been professionally framed and is ready to hang. Including the frame it measures 58cm wide x 40cm high.
