"Robinson" - this early 20th century ceramic plaque was originally part of a street sign / road name. It's not been cut down, it's a whole section and a seperate plaque with 'road' / 'street' / 'avenue' etc would have probably sat alongside or below. 

 

It's survived the decades in excellent condition - a little discolouring / marking around the outer edges, probably where pointing / render came over the face of the sign, but generally it's bold, bright and has a lovely surface gloss. 

 

It measures 46cm wide x 15cm high x 2cm deep.
