EARLY, DOUBLE-SIDED PHILIPS RADIO ENAMEL SIGN

£999
This is a fantastically colourful, double sided sign for Philips Radio, likely to date from the 1920s-30s it's one of their earliest logos before they adopted the circle with three stripes and four stars that we know now.
This sign would have originally hung at a right angle in-front/inside a shop. The side mounting flange has at some point in the past been hammered flat, allowing the sign to be hung flat against a wall.
The sign was produced by L'Emaillo-Gravure in Paris and has a nice, clear makers mark at the bottom both sides. The sign is in excellent condition for it's age, there is a little bit of damage to the face on one side (pictured), some damage to the exposed upper corner and some areas where the top layer of blue enamel has chipped through to the yellow beneath but on the whole this is a vibrant sign, with fantastic shape.
The sign is 70.5cm high, 59cm wide and around 2mm thick.
