This French lithographic poster is advertising Café Collas, and describes these 'pearls of India' as 'the best of all coffees'... For me it's one of the best posters I've encountered in a while! The vibrant colour ways and detailed graphics are just sublime (though by modern standards, the subject matter is perhaps a little questionable). 

 

The poster was produced in Étampes (a commune in the metropolitan area of Paris) in 1927 and has survived in good condition with minimal fading and just slight creasing around the corners and a few, small surface scratches. It seems to have been professionally framed in the latter part of the 20th century in an in keeping, textured frame and displays beautifully... A fantastic bit of decor for a vintage themed Cafe or kitchen?

 

Including the frame, this piece measures 118.5cm high x 79.5cm wide x 1.5cm deep.
