What a title! Sid James' 'dirty laugh' has never been more poignant as Turpin! Classic Carry On comedy...

 

"Notorious highwayman Dick Turpin disguises himself as the Reverend Flasher to avoid detection and terrorises the countryside with his gang."

 

Here we have an original US One-Sheet dating from the film's release in 1974. This is known as a 'country of origin' poster; meaning that it was printed in England (where the film was produced) for distrubution in the United States; hence being in the One-Sheet format. 

 

The poster has survived in very good condition; it has a censor stamp in the lower right corner which would've been made prior to the poster's distribution. The original fold lines are present and there's slight discolouring along these, but this is typical with a film poster from the period and generally you would expect, even hope to see this sort of evidence of aging. 

 

It has been professionally framed using conservation grade backing paper and is ready to hang. Including the frame the poster measures 107cm high x 71.5cm wide x 2.5cm deep.
